postpartum care

“They say that the first 42 days will be the foundations for the next 42 years of your life. I truly believe that postpartum care is imperative to the wellness of mothers and therefore our society as a whole.”

postpartum care

Rest, warmth, nutrition, body work and community care are imperative to the wellness of a mother and family in this golden time of healing and bonding as a new family.

Through our postpartum planning sessions together I support your family to be well resourced with a village (community care), we set up a meal train, discuss postpartum principles and how best to achieve them within your unique family flow, what your desires for this time are, how I can be of service.

During your first 40 days, I provide postpartum specific meals & snacks that aid your digestion and breast milk production, alongside bone broths and herbal remedies. I offer warming treatments for the body and womb, such as yoni steaming, sitz baths and moxibustion, gentle body work and wrapping the belly and hips. A focus of this is to encourage the healing of your pelvis and uterus, and support your nervous system to down-regulate into a parasympathetic state of rest and digest.

I offer birth debriefing, emotional support, rituals and meditations, as well as practical support around the home with light housework, holding your baby while you nap, shower or get some fresh air. Working to aid you on all levels of mind, body and spirit. Essentially I am there in your nest offering whatever it is you need so you can rest, integrate, heal and bond with your baby in these precious early weeks after birth.

Planning for your postpartum is just as, if not more, important as planning for your birth. Whether you have a blissful birth or a traumatic birth the postpartum will be there to catch you and hold you through your experience. It will support the integration of your birth, your healing in the coming weeks, and allow you to feel supported and seen in this golden month of recovery as you land back into your body and welcome your baby earthside.

“Nic’s genuine care and attention to detail is the nourishment you didn’t know you needed on a deep, visceral level. I had Nic for my postpartum recovery and after a very traumatic birth, Nic nursed me back to life thoughtfully and gently. I will never forget the meals and remedies that would appear at my bedside, catching me as I landed into the most profound role as a first time mum. Highly recommended Nic for essence, presence, reverence for mothers and dedication to her work.”

Ellika | Mother

“I can’t thank Nic enough for holding me during my most vulnerable and open time in postpartum. Her care, presence, love and commitment still emanates within my being and my children’s today. Her nourishing meals, healing hands, precious gifts from her garden, unwavering presence to me and a listening ear for me as I cried and processed the huge transition was everything. I will be forever grateful and she will always have a special place in my heart and within my family. Nic is 100% worth it! You can’t put a monetary value on the necessity of her services. In a world where we have lost what it means to hold women through this huge rite of passage and we have forgotten it’s women’s business, her angelic and healing work is needed and felt so deeply.”

Michele | Mother

“Having Nic support me and my family during my postpartum time felt like having my very own guardian angel. She didn't just offer support; she wrapped me in a cocoon of care, understanding, and wisdom. Adorned in her delicious, healing meals, her healing treatments and healing conversations, Nic created a sanctuary of solace amidst the whirlwind of new motherhood and birth related illness. With her gentle touch and warm creativity, Nic transformed ordinary moments into magical memories, leaving me and my family feeling nourished, empowered, and deeply grateful. If postpartum care had a superhero, she would undoubtedly be it.”

rites of passage

Option to add on any of the rites of passages to your postpartum support. A Rite of Passage is marked by an event or change in one's life that is felt on a physical, emotional or spiritual level that signifies a transition from one phase of life into another.

Every living being on earth moves through 2 Rites of Passage, birth and death. However, many more are felt throughout the human experience as we all transition through different challenges, roles and stages of growth.
